In the year 2001 Thiru Puratchi Kalaignar Vijaykant founded Shri Andal Alagar college of Engineering (SAACE) in memory of his parents at Mamandur near Chengalpet.Shri Andal Alagar College of Engineering is one of the prominent college and it is well known college in Tamil Nadu.
