GAMC-Gopichand Arya Mahila College Panjab University
The Gopichand Arya Mahila College (GAMC) is a women’s college located in the city of Chandigarh, in the state of Punjab, India. The college was founded in 1992 by Dr. Pushpinder Kaur and is affiliated with Panjab University.
The GAMC offers undergraduate courses in arts, commerce, and science disciplines. It also has a postgraduate department that offers courses in Hindi literature, English literature, history, political science, sociology, and mathematics.
The college has been recognized as one of the best colleges for women in India and has won several awards over the years. These include: Best Women’s College Award from ASSOCHAM (2013), Excellence Award for Women’s Education from AICTE (2012), and Best Educational Institution Award from Lions Club International (2011).
