Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) is one of the premier medical colleges in India. Located in Bengaluru, it was established in 1955 as a government-run institution for providing quality education to students from all over the country. The college was founded by Dr B M Hegde who wanted to create a world-class medical institute that could provide high-quality training to aspiring doctors. The college opened its doors on August 15th, 1955 with just 30 students enrolled into its first batch. Since then, the college has grown significantly both academically and physically with more than 3000 students currently studying there every year.
