Malankara Syrian Catholic College

Malankara Syrian Catholic College, Mariagiri, Tamil Nadu, India is owned and managed by the Eparchy of Marthandam of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, with the approval of the government of Tamil Nadu, and is affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Thirunelveli. It started in 1998, offering three undergraduate programmes in discipline Biochemistry, Computer Science and Physics.
The college was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with B+ grade in 2004. The college has ISO 9001 - 2000 certification. The motto of the college is "Learn to Serve". The College offers under-graduate courses as B.Sc. (Bio-technology, Bio-informatics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Software engineering), Bachelor of Computer applications (BCA), B.Com with Computer Applications, BA English Literature.
Malankara Syrian Catholic College also offers post-graduation courses in M.Sc. (Bio-technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Physics, Computer Science, and Software engineering), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Master of Social Work (MSW). The College provides research facility and offers research programmes as M.Phil. (Bio-technology, Physics, Micro-biology, Bio-chemistry) and Ph.D. in Bio-technology. College encourages students to participate in sports events and a stadium for sports. Play fields for basketball, tennis, volleyball, hockey, cricket and football. Institute has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.
The college conducts many cultural and extracurricular events every year which are managed by student clubs. The admissions in Malankara Syrian Catholic College are based on merit in previous eligibility course. The college has well-equipped workshops and machine facilities. In Institute students are encouraged to have exposure to an industry and are assisted through training. Malankara Syrian Catholic College provides a dedicated Placement Cell for assistance of the students.
