Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS) is an engineering college which is approved by the AICTE, Delhi and is affiliated with the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. The college was put up in 1997.
The vision of JITS is to become an excellent college in the near future which is able to provide knowledge to students in all the fields of technology i.e. mastery in the technical education. The mission of the college goes hand in hand with its vision which is to offer a widespread engineering education that gives an ample box of knowledge to the students.
The college offers both the undergraduate programmes as well as the postgraduates’ programmes to its students and in addition to it also offers Second Shift Polytechnic Diploma to the willing students.
The college has all the facilities of comfort for their students likewise, sports area, library, hostels, placement cell, computer lab and other labs. One special feature of the college is that it has a separate anti-ragging section which deals with the problems being faced by the new comers in the college.
The college provides a 100% placement to the students studying in the college. The college has a placement cell which looks after the student’s placement in various institutes. The main work of the placement cell is to build contact with various companies and organizations so as to arrange interviews for the students. The placement cell is headed by the higher authorities of the institute.
