Indore Institute of Science & Technology, the journey of Shail Education & welfare Society started with establishing Indore Institute of Science & Technology (IIST) in the year 2002, offering Under Graduate courses in Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science and Electronics & Instrumentation with an intake of 240 students. As the reputation of the institution spread, there was demand to add more courses. The institution is headed by Dr S R Lapalikar Ph D (Mech Engg) with vast experience in academics and industry. IIST is affiliated to RGPV, Bhopal, DAVV Indore beside statutory affiliation to AICTE Delhi, and DTE Govt of MP.
The institution has the distinction of being accredited by TCS for Campus Placement. It has also applied for NBA accreditation. Courses offered are: Computer Science and Engineering ,Electronics and Communication Engineering ,Industrial Production Engineering , Information Technology , Mechanical Engineering , Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering . Facilties :-Laboratories,Workshops,Computer Labs,Library & Resource Centre,Hostel.
Indore Institute of Science & Technology has a rich infrastructure with latest facilities. The college campus is entirely
Wi-Fi enabled, and the seminar halls and class-rooms use projectors for visual aid. The institute also has facility of online guest lecturers from anywhere in the world. The College also encourages students towards participation in sports and has a sports ground for cricket, volleyball, football and lawn tennis and a common room where students can play indoor games like Table Tennis, Carom, Chess, etc.
The institute also provides a gymnasium, a bank and ATM, and a cafeteria within the college campus. Indore Institute of Science & Technology runs a state-of-the-art placement cell for its student guiding them through the placement process and provides them placement offers and interviews via campus placements.
