Indo French Educational Trust (IFET) was founded in 1998 by eminent Industrialists and some benign NRIs, Located at the IFET Nagar, Gangarampalayam, Valavanur Post, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is committed to promote education and research in the field of Engineering and Technology and to collate and disseminate in such fields with effective ideas, methods and techniques. The college is aiming to provide quality education in the engineering fields which are of prime importance for the development of country. It has a modern building with peaceful and pollution free Environment, Equipped laboratories and workshop, Standard sized classrooms, Hostel facility for boys and girls, Internet facility within college premises, Sports facility, IFET Alumni, Research and Training Facility, Canteen facility and all the other things that provide comfort to students.
For the smooth operation, each department comprises regular faculties and supporting staffs. College management has allocated key personnel in each department to supervise, monitor and control the departmental activities in an effective way.

A well organized placement cell is functioning in the Institution with 5 departmental placement coordinators, placement assistants and exclusive placement officer and a Dean for placement and training. The placement cell motivates the students and prepares for the successful performance in the interviews. The college provides opportunities to all students for upgrading their skills according to the expectation and requirements of the potential employers.
