Masters in Marketing Management
Marketing is a rapidly expanding business function with multifaceted responsibilities. Masters in Marketing Management is a two-year postgraduate course that provides students the knowledge and skills required in this highly valued marketing function. Admission is open to all students who have completed undergraduate studies, preferably in a related field and with work experience. The syllabus details the various principles and fundamentals of marketing and consumer behaviour and the different types and forms of marketing like services marketing, retail marketing, international marketing, direct marketing, virtual marketing, strategic marketing, relationship marketing, rural and agricultural marketing, and industrial marketing as well as market research, laws governing marketing, marketing communication, brand management, distribution management and logistics, and the study of the local economic environment among other things. This enables the students to gain wide-ranging knowledge on the subject. In addition to theory examinations, students are also required to submit projects as well as do field work. At the end of the course they can work for companies or firms dealing with national and international marketing, market research, export and import, and advertising among others.
