College for Animation
Though the world has been hit badly by the winds of recession the world of animation has not been much adversely affected by the same. Animation industry has grown at a rapid pace causing numerous colleges for animation to sprout across various regions of the country. The best part of this animation industry is the fact that it provides numerous animation job opportunities. Consisting of both the two dimensions and three dimension versions, there is a lot of scope in this field due to the high demand in the entertainment industry. Animation is used in many fields today, starting from movies, to interior designing, gaming industry, etc. Animation is basically the art of giving life to inanimate objects by using various computer techniques.
The ideal way to for getting into a career in animation is by obtaining a graduate degree in animation but there are very few institutes in India which provide the same. There are numerous colleges for animation which provide diploma courses which ranges from six to one and half years depending upon the software that you have opted to learn. For availing a degree in animation, you require to be a 10+2 from a recognized university with minimum of 45percent of marks.
Some of the animation job opportunities consists of 3D Animator, Character Animator, Character FX Artist, Lighting Artist or Lighting Supervisors, Renderers, Storyboard Artist, Character Designer, Environment Designer, Hair and Cloth Simulation Artist, Effects Director or Supervisor, Animation Director, Layout Artists, Compositor, Modeling Technical Directors, and many other options which are becoming quite popular nowadays.
