Christ Church College, Kanpur is a college established in 1866, affiliated with Kanpur University. Earlier in 1840, SPG Mission School was established to educated Christian students. Later its name turned to present one. It is managed by Church of North India (C.N.I). Agra Diocese, managed by the Christ Church College Society, Kanpur. The Institute is affiliated by Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur.
It is now a minority co-ed college of the C.N.I. Agra Diocese, Its Governing Body comprises eminent members under the Chairmanship of the C.N.I. Bishop of Agra. The Courses offered includes under-graduate programmes as Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and post-graduation courses as Master of Science (M.Sc.), and Master of Arts (M.A.). The college faculty consist of about 85 experienced and dedicated teachers to assure quality education.
The Christ Church College has good infrastructure with latest facilities. The campus consists of 15 Laboratories, 6 research laboratories along with Language Lab, Knowledge Centre and ICICI e-learning centre. Christ Church College encourages students to participate in sports events and a stadium with sitting capacity of 2000 spectators. Play fields for basketball, tennis, volleyball, hockey, cricket and football. Institute has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The college conducts many cultural and extracurricular events every year which are managed by student clubs.
The admissions in Christ Church College are based on merit in previous eligibility course. The college has well-equipped workshops and machine facilities. In Institute students are encouraged to have exposure to an industry and are assisted through training. Christ Church College provides a dedicated Placement Cell for assistance of the students.
