Gangadhar Meher College (GMC) was originally set up at Sambalpur College. Its name was changed to Gangadhar Meher College in 1949 after the Oriya poet. This college is situated in the areas of tribal dominance in Orissa. Nonetheless, it strives for excellence and is goal-oriented and focused. The teaching faculty is dedicated towards the goals the college has set for itself and works hard to impart knowledge and guide the students to the best of their abilities.
