Coimbatore Institute of Technology

Coimbatore Institute of Technology is public government aided engineering college located in Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore, India. It was founded in 1956 by V.Rangaswamy Naidu Educational Trust. The Institute was granted autonomous status in 1987 and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The Institute is affiliated by Anna University. The Institute offers under-graduate courses in B.E. (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & electronics, Electronics & communication, Compuer science, Information technology, and Chemical engineering), Bachelor of Science (Computer technology, Information Technology), along with post-graduate courses in M.Tech (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, and Chemical engineering), and Master of Science (M.Sc) in Computer Technology and Software Engineering. The Institute also offers Ph.D. in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Chemical, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, along with Master of Science programmes.
The Coimbatore Institute of Technology has Signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with following institutions- Bergen University College, Faculty of Engineering (HiB) Bergen (Norway), Texas Tech University (USA), Oklahoma State University (USA), IBM, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), NATIONAL INFORMATICS CENTRE (NIC), Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Government of India for training and student exchange programs. Coimbatore Institute of Technology is recognized for its modern infrastructure and latest facilities. Entire college campus is fully Wi-Fi enable, an air-conditioned library which has 25,000+ books and many journals, magazines in addition.
Coimbatore Institute of Technology is a fully residential campus. There is separate hostel facility for boys and girls with latest facilities. The College has its own well equipped training and placement cell to guide students for better career and through placement process. Along with this Coimbatore Institute of Technology have strong collaborations with many major MNCs which take part in institute’s Campus Placement Program.
