Master of Law or LLM or is 2-year postgraduate degree in law open to students who have completed their graduation, preferably in law. It is more specialized than the 3-year or 5-year undergraduate programs, and involves the study of a specific branch of law, such as labour law, constitutional law etc. A popular specialization in recent times is intellectual property and technology law. The syllabus is generally built around the specialization, although some common modules like constitutional study and jurisprudence are part of a lot of programs. It is advisable that students taking up this course have a bit of previous experience to be sure about their choice of master’s.
